I went to Mitzraim/ Misr probably a yr after he came to office. The end of '86, I was in Cairo-Luxor- Dahab et cetera. The country gets rt under the amount Israel gets in economic aid. I can't see them becoming a threat any greater than the typical unrest there today. Europe's views have a great impact on decision making there as well. My latest entry actually mentions Egypt as well, from a couple of days ago, about that visit-then. I'll look to your's again--nice image of somewhere Arabi-Saharan vicinity. Are you as conveyed by say the Negev or Arabia as may be implied by your political mention of the region? My wife & I went to Las Vegas recently: My bro & I THERE went to the desert...

Yeah, this is a photo of Islamic Cairo from he top of one of the many minarets.

Oh. It would seem I forgot to attach the link to the NYTimes article. There is SOME context to my question... :)
